Man caught in AZ desert to be deported for 17th time

An illegal immigrant found in Vekol Valley along Interstate 8 is expected to be deported for a 17th time.

On Wednesday, a Pinal County Sheriff’s deputy was tracking fresh shoe prints of a group walking northbound from I-8 in Vekol Valley – a vast area near the Pinal-Maricopa county line – when the deputy came across a man in a camouflage shirt who identified himself as Aaron Marquez Quintero, 36, from Mexico and admitted to being in the U.S. illegally.

Quintero claimed to be traveling alone but deputies found three more illegal immigrants from Mexico with more than 200 pounds of marijuana, valued at $106,700.
