A bill filed by a Republican state senator would allow Arizona high school graduates — regardless of their immigration status — to pay a lower tuition rate than out-of-state students.
Senate Bill 1217, sponsored by Cave Creek Republican Sen. Heather Carter, would direct Arizona’s public universities and community colleges to create a new tuition rate for all students who graduate from Arizona high schools.
